Oia Village & Fira Town

Oia Village, an embodiment of peace and tranquility is our destination. It is built on the northern part of the caldera rim, the village’s natural beauty has inspired many artists with its magnificent views of the caldera, the rest of the island, and the Aegean Sea. Santorini port is not large enough to allow a cruise ship to disembark directly, therefore you will take a short trip to the Athenios Harbour in local boats where you will meet up with your guide and vehicle.

A scenic drive uphill along the rocky edges of the Caldera will find you in the unique village of Oia. It is an excellent example of Cycladic architecture with houses almost resembling birds’ nests tucked away into the dramatic cliff-side. Your guide will accompany you through the village along cobble-stoned streets where you will marvel at the wonderful panoramic views and admire the quaint traditional architecture. There is some free time to discover the many art galleries available or perhaps simply rest and relax over a coffee in one of the authentic local cafes.

After this break, your tour guide will take you to Fira, the picturesque capital town of the island, built on the rim of the caldera. Enjoy the town at your own leisure and return to the small pier of Scala by cable car, where the vessel’s operators will take you back to the ship.
